Langley High School is located in McLean, Virginia, just across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. It includes, according to Forbes Magazine, the 86th most expensive zip code (22066) in the nation. The campus is located less than a mile west of the Central Intelligence Agency headquarters. Student enrollment consists of only two percent economically disadvantaged and 35 percent minority from a culturally diverse community including many representatives of foreign countries.
In conjunction with a classical curriculum, Langley High School offers a comprehensive Advanced Placement program with more than twenty AP level classes in each of the academic disciplines. Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses are also offered in six fields of study.
Students may earn the Fairfax County Public Schools AP Diploma.
Dual Enrollment courses are available for interested students through Northern Virginia Community College, James Madison University, George Mason University, and Shenandoah University. Along with college level courses in core academic areas, students may enroll in Career and Technical Education courses for dual credits. Annual availability of dual enrollment course offerings are based on teacher endorsement requirements, existing course offerings, and student interest.
Langley High School has over 50 clubs of varying interests, including Model United Nations, South Asian Student Association, Debate and Forensics, Key Club, UNICEF Club, Gay Straight Alliance, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Academic Team, Economics Club, and several sports and cultural appreciation clubs.
