Ridgefield High School, a four-year public high school, supports social, academic, and civic growth while promoting a respect for diversity. Ridgefield High School helps students become self-reflective and self-directed learners and understand their responsibilities and roles as citizens.
Students complete core courses in mathematics, language arts, social studies, and science. Ridgefield High School also offers courses in physical education, music, and art as well as several languages: Spanish, Mandarin, Latin, German, Italian, and French.
Ridgefield High School offers courses at the Advanced Placement level; 70 percent of students participate in AP exams.
Dual enrollment and concurrent courses are available to students seeking early college credits. The University of Rhode Island offers 16 concurrent courses and 45 dual enrollment courses for Ridgefield High School students; however, enrollment numbers determine if all of these courses are offered.
Students at Ridgefield High School receive a well-rounded high school experience through a number of extracurricular clubs and activities.
